Work and other things

My apologies for making you guys wait so long for my next post.  Work and school have been kicking my ass for the last month or so.  Thanksgiving couldn't come any sooner!  Anyway, I'm still lacking the time to write a proper follow-up to my previous post, but I feel bad for leaving you guys hanging! So I thought I'd share with you a small example of how two different cultures can take a story and present it in their own unique way.

About a month ago, a movie called Let Me In was released in theaters.  What some of you may or may not know was that the movie was based on a Swedish film called Let the Right One In, which was in turn based on a bestselling Swedish novel of the same name.  I've yet to see either of these films (they're on my list!), but from what I've heard from my friends, the Hollywood adaptation takes a considerably different approach to the story than the Swedish film. Having seen the trailers for both of these movies, though, they don't seem that radically different from each other.

Here are the trailers for both the Swedish and American adaptations.  What do you think?  Which one looks more appealing to you?
